Practicing Leader in Me Skills: February

For the month of February, Reidy Creek will be focusing on Habit #4: Think Win-Win.

What does that mean?

Everyone Can Win

“I balance courage for getting what I want with consideration for what others want. I make deposits in others’ Emotional Bank Accounts. When conflicts arise, I look for third alternatives.”

What does it look like when students “Think Win-Win?”

  • Students use unique talents and abilities to the fullest, and value others’ talents and abilities.
  • Students are flexible and adaptable.
  • Students are open minded and non-judgmental when considering the views of others.
  • Students demonstrate attentive listening skills.
  • Students cultivate a spirit of cooperation to live in an interdependent community and world.

Habit #3: Put First Things

It’s a new month, and that means we are focusing on a new habit for Leader in Me. For January, we will focus on Habit 3:

Put First Things First

Did you set a goal for 2017 that you want to accomplish? Use Habit #3 to help you carry out that goal by setting aside the time needed for you to accomplish that goal.

Habit 3: Put First Things First®

I spend my time on things that are most important. This means I say no to things I know I should not do. I set priorities, make a schedule, and follow my plan. I am disciplined and organized.
