PTA Meeting

Want to make your voice heard to other parents and school staff? If you’ve never been to a PTA meeting or have been to many, we’d love for you to join us, especially if you’re a preschooler, TK, or Kinder parent! (Keep reading!)

The next one is scheduled for next Tuesday, November 19th, 2019 in the MPR at 6:15pm. If you wish to utilize our FREE childcare, please allot enough time to sign your child in. Also going on that night is the…

Pre-school/TK/Kinder Attendance Challenge!

At the aforementioned PTA meeting on the 19th, we will hold the Preschool/TK/Kinder grade level attendance challenge. For those of you who haven’t been involved in one of these before, here is a quick rundown and background of how it works.

Each grade level has been assigned a particular PTA meeting where parents are encouraged to attend. The individual class  that has the most adults in attendance (with a minimum requirement of 20% of the class size) will win a fun game play day! So if your child is in either: Preschool, TK, or Kinder, come on out and support their class!

Did I mention that FREE childcare (two words you will never see together) is available during the meeting!

Please e-mail reidycreekpta@gmail.com if you have any questions, and we hope to see you there!

Whatever you call yourself, you don’t actually have to be a book lover to partake in helping out students choose books, restock shelves, check out items, and foster an early love for learning and reading!

Our Fall Scholastic Book Fair will take place from Monday, October 28th through Friday, November 1st and we need your help to make it happen!

Please click on the link HERE to find out about the book fair and its hours, about using E-Wallet (MUCH safer than cash), but more importantly, how to volunteer your time and talents!

We look forward to seeing you there!

Superhero Dads needed and Breakfast With Moms!

superhero-dad

A big THANK YOU to the moms who showed up at 6:15 last Thursday to help set up for Breakfast With Dads. Now, we need dads to step up and help with setup so that Mom can have the same cool experience. Some tasks include: setting up the coffee/beverage table, putting out cones to direct lines, collecting meal tickets, and directing traffic in the MPR. Easy, right? Please e-mail reidycreekpta@gmail.com if you’d like to sign up! We’d really appreciate it.

If this is your first or last time for Breakfast With Moms, you can learn more about the event here!

If you missed restaurant night at Yogurtland last Thursday, you still can help Reidy Creek win the “Battle of the Schools” contest Yogurtland has going on. Every $5 spent earns you a dot that you affix onto the banner in the store.  The first one to cross the finish line (not pictured here because the banner was too big!) wins $300 for their school. Second place gets $150, and third $75, respectively. As of Sunday, September 29th, we are happy to report that Reidy Creek Elementary is currently in the lead followed closely by North Broadway.

This Thursday, October 3rd, 2019 we also have the PTA Breakfast with Dads from 7:10-8:10AM. You can find out more about it here.

PTA Social…Part Two!

helping-hands1

We would love to see all parents of TK through 2nd grade at the PTA Social…Part Two which coincides with Back to School night #2 tomorrow, Thursday, September 19, 2019 starting at 5pm. We know you will all be occupied listening to Mrs. Mussatti’s message, and heading to classrooms, but afterward, please stop by and say hi! This is also a reminder that this night is for grades TK-2 only!

Here are some tips to make your informal meeting with us a productive one!

  • Jot down any questions for us. Find out how PTA is the largest child advocacy group in the country!
  • Take a look at the events we make possible and decide how you would like to contribute. Ways to help are by: volunteering your time, talents or supplies.
