Fun Run planning meeting, Teacher Wish Lists, Movie Night and next Restaurant Night

Fun Run Meeting: Tuesday, September 20th, 8:30 am

Anyone else getting Xanadu vibes?

ICYMI: In the past, we used to have a particular vendor show up on campus to host our biggest fundraiser of the year. In an effort to hold on to more of our hard-earned money (and yours), the PTA Association has voted to make this year’s fundraiser more cost-effective and meaningful.

To make this happen, it is essential that parents donate some of their time and talents to ensure that this event goes smoothly. If you’d like to be part of something instrumental, please consider attending the Fun Run planning meeting scheduled for:

Tuesday, September 20th, 8:30 am

Where: PTA Room

Make sure to check into the office first to obtain a Visitor badge.

If you can’t make this meeting but want more information, email Jason Wright, jasoncwright@ymail.com (not gmail) for details and ways you can help.

Movie Night: Friday, September 23rd, time TBD

Movie night is coming folks! Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and join us in the courtyard for an evening of fun. More details to come!

Save the Date for Restaurant Night: Thursday, September 29th at The Habit (more details TBD)

For every purchase, Reidy Creek receives a monetary cut from The Habit located at: 720 N. Centre City Parkway, Escondido, 92025 at the corner of W. Mission Avenue and Centre City Parkway.

So feel free to buy a burger, stop on in, and say hi while enjoying your meal! them know that your child attends Reidy Creek and thank them for their enduring support of our school.

What?! You don’t eat meat you say? Fear not vegetarian and vegan friends! The Habit’s Veggie Burger, along with its sweet mustard sauce and bun are now vegan (and pretty delicious if I say so myself).

If you’d like to donate some items for classrooms, here’s your chance! Each grade level (4th grade pending) has put together a wish list of things that they would appreciate! Our awesome Reidy Creek teachers be so grateful!

Our third and last in-person Coffee With the PTA is scheduled for next Thursday, June 2nd at 8:15am in the Family Liaison Room. Please check in at the office first.

Sit with a few current board members in a casual setting. Enjoy coffee and light breakfast items and get any questions you have, answered. They will discuss what events might take place next year, what monies we have left to spend on those events, and your feedback and attendance would be greatly appreciated!

Yearbook Update

Get excited! This year’s yearbook is due to be distributed soon!

If you didn’t order and and are still interested in receiving one, please send us an email at the yearbook’s email address at: rcyearbookphotos@yahoo.com.

Alternative to APEX Committee forming

As part of the Board, it is our duty and privilege to hear what our constituents have to say. One Reidy Creek parent, Jason Wright, has made his opinions known about our biggest fundraiser of the year, APEX. He is rallying other parents to join his efforts to explore an alternative to APEX in hopes that Reidy Creek can hold onto more of the monies raised. To get more details, please contact him via email at: jasoncwright@ymail.com (not Gmail).
