LAST DAY of Art To Remember submissions and Mathnasium Night!

Art To Remember!

We are happy to announce that Art to Remember is still here but today is the last day to upload your artwork!

Reminder: You don’t have to buy any artwork-themed keepsakes at this moment. You just need to upload the artwork by Tuesday, February 16th. If you’d like your keepsakes by Mother’s Day 2021, you have to order by March 24th.

First, have your child create some meaningful artwork, or find some that you have saved, and upload onto their site. Their artwork can really be placed onto anything, including: a water bottles, makeup bags, and…face masks!

Reidy Creek will receive 25% of proceeds.

More information can be found in the flyer below, including how to upload your art. Enjoy your keepsakes!

Mathnasium

As long as it’s not Geometry, I’m in!

Mathnasium will be hosting a fun math night at home, and you’re invited! Please RSVP to this fun event that will take place virtually on Friday, February 19th from 6:00-7:30PM!

What’s great about this event is that you don’t even have to be a student at Reidy Creek and all ages are encouraged to attend! So if you know cousins and/or friends who love math and games, forward the information to them!

Please see the flyer below for details. You can RSVP HERE!

Finally, my favorite subject: Yearbook!

Thank you to all of our talented and creative Coyotes that entered our Yearbook Cover Art Contest! We had 16 wonderful entries and a hard time judging! The winners are as follows:

Jayden Coley – 5th Grade, Mrs. Putnam’s class won the front cover

Francesca Mullins – 5th Grade, Mrs. Threatt’s class won the back cover

Congratulations!

All artwork will be presented in the yearbook so make sure to snag a copy (don’t worry, we’ll let you know when you can order as details become available).

Also, Mr. Rocha mentioned that formal portraits will not be taken this year due to our current situation. Each class is different and may have their own plans for portraits this year, but just in case they don’t have plans, we are asking parents to submit a recent photo of their child to be included as a fail-safe for their class portrait. If you have or could take a recent photo of each of your children separately, and send it, we’d greatly appreciate it. 🙂

It could be posed or candid, serious or silly, think sunglasses, bunny ears, a thumbs up!
This may be the only opportunity for your child to have a portrait photo in the yearbook. For those that do not submit, the child’s name will still be mentioned with their class, but a photo will be absent.

Our yearbook e-mail address is as follows: RCYEARBOOKPHOTOS@yahoo.com

Please also be on the lookout for a Google Form that will allow families to submit photos for yearbook pages.

Looking for Dedication Forms? We are currently working on the logistics for parents to submit their payment. If you familiar with dedications and know that which pictures and wording you’d like to use, you can also submit your content to: RCYEARBOOKPHOTOS@yahoo.com

We Need You!

Hello All,
Believe it or not, it’s that time of year where we start planning for the Reidy Creek PTA for next year.

We are currently looking for a couple of people to be on the Nominating Committee. The Nominating Committee (NC) helps find people that are interested in volunteering to be on the PTA Board next year. The NC will spend the next few weeks working together as a team and talking to people (via phone calls, texts, and emails) that might be interested in learning more about the different Board positions and possibly volunteering to fill one of them. The NC is absolutely NOT responsible for filling any of the open positions themselves. The only requirement is that you are willing to talk to people 🙂

*If you are interested in serving on the Nominating Committee please send us an e-mail at: reidycreepta@gmail.com by Tuesday, February 9th, 2021 and someone can reach out to answer questions and go into more details.

Also, the PTA will be hosting a series of “Coffee & Chat with the PTA” over the next several weeks. This is a great opportunity to learn about PTA in general as well as what Reidy Creek PTA specifically does for the students, teachers, and staff.  It also provides time for people to ask questions, learn about how to get involved in PTA, and get to know some of your fellow PTA members. Look for those dates and zoom links in the next week or so.

Thank you, The Reidy Creek PTA Board

Reminder that Art To Remember is here! and so is the Book Fair!

We are happy to announce that Art to Remember is back but only until Tuesday, February 16th, and they’ve gone completely digital!

Lastly, our Yearbook update!

Mr. Rocha has mentioned that formal portraits might not be taken this year due to our current situation. In lieu, we will be asking for parents to submit a recent photo of their child to be included for their class portrait. If you have or could take a recent photo of each of your children separately, and send it, we’d greatly appreciate it. 🙂

Our yearbook e-mail address is as follows: RCYEARBOOKPHOTOS@yahoo.com

It could be posed or candid, serious or silly, i.e. bunny ears, sunglasses, peace signs, any non-offensive pose Tik-Tok ers are doing these days…
This may be the only opportunity for your child to have a portrait photo in the yearbook. For those that do not submit, the child’s name will still be mentioned with their class, but a photo may be absent. Please let other parents know!

We are also creating a Google Form that will distributed shortly to allow parents to submit photos that way.
